Target Art Yard & Mad Hatter
One of the most popular attractions at the Festival each year is the Target Art Yard. Everyone knows that kids would rather "do" than "just look..." While they can enjoy visiting the Artist Marketplace with their parents, they are often told, "don’t touch." At the Target Art Yard, they are encouraged to touch, make, create. Enjoy!
When Target opened its first stores in 1962, it was with a strong commitment to support and empower the communities its stores serve. Today, that 44-year tradition is reflected in the Target grant-making program, through which Target gives more than $2 million every week to strengthen families and communities across the nation, with a focus on education, the arts, social services and other vital community partnerships.
EVERYTHING ABOVE OUR HEADS
Target Art Yard Hours: Noon to 9:00 p.m. Daily!
Look up! Enter the Target Art Yard galaxy of birds, bugs, spaceships, clouds, and skyscrapers as you create your own out of orbit masterpieces. Enjoy the wonders of everything above our heads, The ART Way.
Birds and Bees Trees: These trees have no leaves! In their place are birds and bees - and all sorts of flying things!
Celestial Cave: Make your own planet, comet, and star and cool off in our mini-galaxy.
Spaceship Central: We're looking for a few good painters and mechanics to help us get these stellar spacecraft flight-ready.
Cloud Mountains: Make a personalized cloud and create quite a storm in our Cloud Mountain Range.

We will be folding paper into these shapes and spraying watercolor on the completed design for a colorful creation.
