35th Anniversary Archive Project

We’re celebrating a huge milestone in 2011. For 35 years, we have been bringing our community together to celebrate the arts. We want you to be involved and to help us commemorate this milestone.

Share Your Stories at the Share Room

This year, during the 2009 Festival, we will house a space to begin sharing and recording Festival stories. Visit the Share Room located on the main floor of the Library from 12noon-3pm to 5pm-8pm, Thursday through Sunday, to experience the beginning stages of the exhibition and volunteer to share your Festival stories and memories.

We’re teaming up with Marriott Library Special Collections and Fine Arts Department to create a retrospective of the Festival. As a multimedia collection, the 35th Anniversary Archive Project will showcase the history of the Festival and illustrate its evolution through the years.

A Multimedia Effort

Like the art we celebrate, our Anniversary Project involves several mediums: memorabilia, photos, print, and video.

Submit Your Ideas & Memoribilia

In addition to participating on site during the 2009 Utah Arts Festival, we also would like you to complete our online form so that we can collect your information so that we can be in touch with you about your ideas and memories of the Utah Arts Festival over the years.

We are hoping to come across some treasures of memorabilia that you may have saved through the years--old photos, shirts, brochures, newspaper articles, etc.--that we can display in our retrospective exhibition at the Library’s 4th floor gallery in 2011.
