June 29-Deseret News: Arts fest thrives despite tough conditions
"It would be easy to discount a festival's successes - or failures - to the economic climate. But the Utah Arts Festival, which wrapped up its 33rd year Sunday, did not show any significant signs of slowing down, despite the worries about the economy. 'The whole thing about the economy and people spending time at home or at community events shows it's important to have these kinds of events for people to gather together and spend time together,' said Lisa Sewell, executive director of the arts festival."
