Utah Arts Festival

Discover your new favorite artist at the 2010 Artist Marketplace. Featuring more than 140 visual artists this year, including 55 new artists to the Festival, we're proud to present a wide variety of innovative local and national artists. From watches made from wood and leather to handmade guitars and 2-D creations and watercolor, there is something for everyone. 

Be sure to carve out time in your Festival schedule to peruse the wide spectrum in this year's Artist Marketplace and add something new to your collection.

Get your picture taken the old fashioned way in a photo booth, and part of the proceeds will benefit the Utah Arts Festival! Thanks to ShutterBooth for providing a way to keep a memory of 2010.

What happens to all of the vinyl for banners and billboards? At the Utah Arts Festival, these get made into great bags. In fact, you can make your own bag out of recycled vinyl at the Utah Arts Festival at the Revinylize booth located northeast of the City County steps. Workshops are on a first-come first-served basis and have a small material fee.

As a new vendor to the Festival this year, Element 7 Creamery is truly a unique and memorable ice cream experience. You will witness ice cream being made on the spot using liquid nitrogen (the 'element 7')! Choose from a variety of flavors for your customized ice cream experience. Check them out on food row.

New this year, the Utah Arts Festival is excited to offer an official iPhone app for festival goers. The Festival app provides the performing arts schedule by stage, genre, date, and time, along with a map to plan out your festival experience. There is at-a-glance information about 'how to festival' along with food and beverage, art for kids, art on display, and art in progress throughout the festival grounds.

Hungry for a new dining experience at the Festival? Come see what's cooking at Epicuriousity!

Student chefs from the Art Institute of Salt Lake City and the Master Chef's of Utah Food Services have joined forces to create delicious works of art in the form of gourmet tapas. Watch the chefs in action as they prepare such dishes as seared Asian Peppercorn Ahi Tuna with a wasabi aioli and pickled ginger; Black Angus Beef Medallions with a roasted shallot buerre blanc, green tipped baby carrots and heirloom potatoes; and a sinfully rich which chocolate mousse. And there are lot more equally delectable choices, so check it out!

Epicuriosity is located just west of the Festival Stage and will be open each day from 4pm until the festival closes.

Tom Mattingly Dance Project brings Ririe-Woodbury and Ballet West dancers together for unique premiere

The Utah Arts Festival is pleased to announce its first ever dance commission—the world premiere of PRONE by the Tom Mattingly Dance Project, Friday, June 25 at 6 p.m. on the Festival Stage during the Utah Arts Festival at Library Square.

PRONE is a trio of pieces featuring dancers Michael Bearden, Kate Crews, Tom Mattingly, Sayaka Ohtaki and Jacqueline Straughan of Ballet West and Caine Keenan of Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company.
